How to Create Your Own E-waste Campaign

Step 2

Introduce your school principal or afterschool clubs director to your campaign. We recommend making a presentation or writing down goals to discuss during your conversation.

Step 3

Locate and contact your nearest recycling plant. Make sure they are registered to handle e-waste! The recycling plant is going to be a key contact for the rest of your campaign. You might be able to ask them questions about their recycling process and of course they are the ones who will be recycling the e-waste you collect.

Step 1

Gather a group to help you work. Things are always done faster as a team! The bigger crowd you gather, the more interest you bring to the topic.

Step 4

Make a plan for the school year. This includes events you want to host and the ways you plan on collecting e-waste.

Step 5

Share your progress with us and on social media. To get exposure for your campaign, you can contact us and we'll put your campaign up on the website! Social media is also a great way to show people what you're doing as it can get you a lot of traction.

"I learned new information about e-waste from my school's e-waste campaign and how it affected the environment at large. The campaign also opened up many opportunities for me in a short amount of time."
